Client Brief

This customer came to us wanting a dedicated garden room to serve as an entertainment space and karaoke room from their home in Manchester.

They wanted a fun, social environment where they could enjoy music and be with friends without disturbing their neighbours.

Positioned behind a garage and bordered by fencing on two sides, the proposed location of the garden room did present a few access challenges – but this certainly didn’t put us off.

Our Garden Room Solution

We designed and built a well-sized 4.5m x 3.5m garden room specifically tailored for entertainment use. To do this, we incorporated good levels of soundproofing throughout the walls and roof using specialised insulation.

Two 600mm floor-to-ceiling windows to the front provide natural light whilst a slot window on the back wall let’s even more light in.

The exterior features composite double embossed shiplap cladding in Anthracite Grey, creating a bold, contemporary statement that requires virtually no maintenance. Matching the windows is a robust, composite door.

The electrical package features six spotlights, an electric heater, three double sockets and two external lights.

Project Outcome

This completed garden room in Manchester delivers a fantastic entertainment space where the client can enjoy karaoke and social gatherings late into the night without worrying about making too much noise. We think it looks great tucked into the corner and the black external finish looks super smart.
