Client Brief

The client approached us seeking a dedicated garden room to serve as a private retreat for their teenager.

They wanted a space that would provide independence and separation from the main house whilst offering a comfortable environment for relaxation, socialising with friends and hobbies.

Additionally, they required integrated storage to keep outdoor equipment and garden items organised and out of sight.

Solution

We designed a versatile 5.0m x 2.5m garden room that cleverly incorporates both a spacious teen den and a practical separate storage room.

The layout makes sure the storage area is completely concealed from the main living space with a separate entrance, so the teens have a great space for themselves.

The installation of 2.3m French doors with side panels makes sure the space feels bright and welcoming. The exterior features attractive Hardie Plank cement fibre cladding in Heathered Moss, creating a natural aesthetic that blends beautifully with the garden setting.

A 300mm overhang extends across the front elevation, adding architectural interest and practical weather protection. The separate storage room is accessed via its own composite door, ensuring convenient access without disturbing the main space.
